General
- Each new diver is allowed one free try out practice. Please email our head coach to schedule a time for your try-out.
- AAU membership is required for the Learn to Dive, Adult Master Class, Recreational General, and Recreational Advanced groups. Club Code: W3E5DC
- USA Diving membership is required for the MDA Travel Squad and Elite Group.

Learn to Dive
Each 1 hour practice consists of:
- 30 minutes of dryland
- 30 minutes of water
This group is most suitable for:
- individuals who do not have any diving experience and are new to the sport
- 2nd-7th graders OR those under 17 with no experience
-Note: athletes must know how to swim
Typical ages we see: 8-13
What divers will learn:
- skills from poolside, 1 meter and 3-meter springboards

Adult Master Class
Each 1 hour practice consists of:
- 30 minutes of dryland
- 30 minutes of water
This group is most suitable for:
- individuals who are over the age of 18 and are interested in learning to dive or improving their skills (All skills levels accepted!)
Typical age we see: 18-45
What divers will learn:
- skills from poolside, 1 meter and 3-meter springboards

Recreational General
Each 2 hour practice consists of :
- 45 minutes of dryland
- 75 minutes of water
This group is most suitable for:
- divers who are familiar with diving or are new to the sport and are 8th grade and above
- 7th-12th graders with experience
Typical ages we see: 11-14
What divers will learn:
Our general recreational program is broken down into four levels that teach the fundamental skills which lay the foundation for more complex skills. This program teaches 41 fundamental skills which lay the foundation for more complex skills in the future. The skills are divided into 4 levels based on difficulty. Practices last 2 hour and include both dryland training (conditioning, stretching, dry board, trampoline) and pool training (1 and 3-meter springboard).Skills divers will learn include:
Level 1:
1. Forward jump straight from poolside
2. Back jump straight from poolside
3. Forward jump tuck from poolside
4. Forward tuck roll from poolside
5. Forward pike fall from poolside
6. Forward jump straight from 1 meter
7. Back push and glide into back circle from poolside
8. Back jump tuck from poolside
9. Forward dive crouched from poolside
10. Back tuck roll from poolside
Level 2:
1. Forward pike fall from 1 meter
2. Forward jump tuck from 1 meter
3. Back pike roll from poolside
4. Forward jump straight from 3 meters
5. Back jump straight from 1 meter
6. Forward dive straight from poolside
7. Back dive crouched from poolside
8. Back fall straight from 1 meter
9. Forward pike wedge from poolside
10. Back pike sit from poolside
Level 3:
1. Forward jump pike from 1 meter
2. Arm Swing forward jump straight from 1 meter
3. Forward dive tuck from poolside
4. Back dive straight from poolside
5. Forward pike fall from 3 meter
6. Arm Swing back jump tuck from poolside
7. Arm Swing back pike sit from poolside
8. Back tuck roll from 1 meter
9. Inward pike wedge from poolside
10. Arm Swing forward dive tuck from 1 meter
Level 4:
1. Arm Swing back jump tuck from 3 meter
2. Sitting forward tuck roll from 3 meters
3. Board timing – bouncing forward jump straight from 1 meter
4. Arm Swing back jump pike from 1 meter
5. Arm Swing reverse pike sit from poolside
6. Inward dive tuck from 1 meter
7. Bouncing forward dive tuck from 1 meter
8. Arm Swing back dive tuck from 1 meter
9. Forward straight fall from 3 meters
10. Forward somersault tuck from poolside
11. Back fall straight from 3 meters

Recreational Advanced
Each 2 hour practice consists of:
- 30 minutes of dryland
- 90 minutes of water
This group is most suitable for:
- divers who are able to do all direction dives and front 1.5 somersault
- 9th-12th graders with experience
Typical ages we see: 14-17
What divers will learn:
- Divers will learn dives that meet their high school meet list requirement and upgrade their current list.

Travel Squad (previously Competitive Group)
Each 3 hour practice consists of :
- 1 hour of dryland
- 2 hours of water
This group is most suitable for:
- diver’s who are interested in competitive diving meets and competing as a part of MDA
- divers will compete in the USA diving JO regional meet/AAU diving meets and subsequent meets for which they qualify
- divers are required to be able to do at least 2 direction 1.5 somersault and half twist
- under 18 and dedicated to competing in diving meets
Typical ages we see: 10-18
What divers will learn:
- Divers will continue to have guided practice with help from our coaches
USA Diving membership required

College Divers (Summer only)
College divers can register to attend any practices during the summer session. They can attend as many practices as they want and whichever squad they want.
